Gregory Pelecanos, Senior Partner at our firm and a widely acclaimed competition law expert, was invited to coordinate the 4th session of the highly successful 2nd Conference on "Law & Health Policies". The Conference was organized by NOMIKI BIBLIOTHIKI under the auspices of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) and the Association of Health - Research & Biotechnology Industry (SEIB), and took place on 18 October 2022 in Athens.
The 4th session of the conference explored matters pertaining to "Medicines - Competition - Access & Safety". Two very interesting submissions on critical topical issues were presented by esteemed legal experts in the field, under the coordination of Gregory Pelecanos Ballas, namely: "Excessive pricing of pharmaceutical products: the practice of competition authorities and case law", by Lefkothea Nteka, Partner at Lambadarios & Associates, and "Shortages in medicines & parallel exports: institutional framework and competition rules - the national market sufficiency obligation", by Stefanos Economou, D.E.A., Managing Partner at Stefanos P. Economou & Associates.
The highly successful conference constituted a focal annual meeting that fostered fruitful scientific dialogue between lawyers, expert scientists and representatives of institutions involved in the establishment and implementation of health Law.
